The cable blowing machine has been designed to provide an effective and safe method of fiber optic cable installation.
The machine installs optical fiber cables of 6mm to 32 mm diameter at speeds up to 80 m/min. The cable is blown inside ducts with outer diameter from 20 mm to 60 mm, employing the viscous drag principle to treated compressed air.
The hydraulic in-feed controls the cable pushing force through a compliant drive belt. The necessary hydraulic supply is provided by an oleodynamic power pack, powered by a petrol or diesel engine.
The electronic control provides information on laying speed and distance reached, and automatically protects the cable against possible duct anomalies.
The system is mounted on a tubular steel trolley, adjustable in height and inclination to simplify its use.
The blowing unit can also be detached from the support, to make it easily fit inside trenches or manholes.
An air compressor with its related cooling system provides the air needed to drag the cable inside the duct.
